Olivia joined the Advanced Kinetics team in the Fall of 2020. She brings over 5 years of clinical experience working in outpatient physical therapy in the DMV. She has treated and continues to treat a variety of patients with various orthopedic injuries.
Olivia loves the challenge of working with patients of all ages and injuries. However, she specializes in orthopedic physical therapy with a focus on athletes and the “weekend warrior”. Her treatment philosophy focuses on manual therapy and an individualized exercise program based off each individuals unique presentation. Olivia is certified in dry needling level 1 and 2 and utilizes this tool as one component of her overall treatment plan to improve her patient outcomes. She also utilizes the selective functional movement system and the Pose Method for running analysis. Olivia’s experiences have allowed her to improve her treatment approach and understand that physical therapy can have a unique impact on improving her patients quality of life.
Olivia grew up in a small town in New Jersey before moving to Atlanta where she earned her bachelor’s degree at Emory University studying Psychology and Linguistics. She moved to Washington, DC where she earned a doctorate in Physical Therapy from the George Washington University’s School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
In her free time Olivia enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as participating in outdoor activities including a co-ed soccer team.
