Rachel Anderson-Ridenour

PT, DPT, CMTPT/DN

Rachel was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She grew up swimming competitively in the summer for the NVSL Little Rocky Run Stingrays, and swam year-round with the Mason Makos. She continued her swimming career at the College of William & Mary, where she also received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Biochemistry. Rachel then continued her studies in graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Rachel’s passion for physical therapy is driven by her desire to help individuals of all ages live a pain-free and active lifestyle. During her gap year between undergrad and graduate school, Rachel worked as a physical therapy aide at Advanced Kinetics. She returned to AKPT upon graduating from VCU.

Rachel enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with her husband and their golden retriever outside of work. She has continued to coach swimming year-round, with a focus on swimmers 12 and under.
