Natalie is originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and has dedicated her career to helping athletes and active individuals return to the activities they love. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Biological Sciences and Psychology from Ohio University before pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Duke University School of Medicine.
During her time at Duke, Natalie worked with the football team’s sports medicine staff, an experience that sparked her passion for sports physical therapy and athletic performance. To further develop her expertise after graduation, she completed a Sports Physical Therapy Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where she received advanced training in the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
While at UPMC, Natalie worked closely with the University of Pittsburgh Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, provided medical coverage for a local high school, and served as an adjunct faculty member within the University of Pittsburgh Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. These experiences allowed her to develop a comprehensive approach to athlete care across a variety of competitive levels.
Natalie’s clinical interests include working with athletes, particularly basketball and football players, as well as guiding patients through post-operative rehabilitation. She has a special interest in knee injuries and helping individuals safely return to sport and high-level activity following surgery.
Outside of the clinic, Natalie enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, hiking, and exploring new local restaurants. She is also an avid sports fan and can often be found cheering on her Duke Blue Devils, Ohio Bobcats, and her hometown Detroit sports teams.
