What Should I Wear to My Massage?
Depending on the type of massage you are receiving, you may or may not need to undress. For a full body massage, most people undress completely. However, you may choose to wear underwear. Your massage therapist will give you privacy to undress, and you will be covered with a sheet and blanket at all times except for the area being worked on.
What Should I Expect for My First Massage?
Beforehand, you’ll have a brief consultation with the therapist which will give you the opportunity to discuss your goals for the massage, any problem areas, and your preferences for pressure and areas to avoid.
Is There Anything I Should Do After My Massage?
Before you leave, consult with your therapist on your treatment to determine how soon you should return for your next appointment. After your massage, you can expect to feel some mild soreness. The use of heat to soothe any soreness is perfectly fine. It’s also important to make sure you stay hydrated after a massage! Drinking water helps flush out any toxins and lactic acid that was broken up during the session.
