Exercise is a great way to increase health and quality of life. At AKPT, we want to bridge the gap between physical therapy and fitness by offering fitness training by a certified strength and conditioning coach. It is our goal to help people recover from injuries, achieve fitness goals, increase sport level, and live a healthy lifestyle.

PERSONAL TRAINING – 30 OR 60 MINUTE SESSIONS 

Personal training incorporates 1 on 1 individualized training sessions that are based on your fitness goals and health assessment. It will include a health assessment, individualized program design, and monthly evaluations to track your progress.

TEAM TRAINING

Private team training provides a sport specific approach to building strength, increasing speed/agility, and preventing sport-specific injuries. Training is held by a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is a program designed specifically for your team’s need.

SPORTS PERFORMANCE TRAINING

  • Personal trainers at AKPT will design an individualized sports performance program and will include functional testing prior to the beginning of the program. Testing may include any of the following components:
  • SFMA
  • FMS
  • DMA
  • LESS

Medical Exercise (MES) Program is a one on one specialty performed by a certified MES instructor and will aid in recovering from any current or old injury.

Video Analysis of the following actions may also be performed in conjunction with your individualized sports performance or medical exercise program:

  • Throwing
  • ACL testing
  • Running
