Is it golf season yet? Find out where to start your offseason training…

Is the cold winter weather making you think about warm sunny days on the golf course?

The winter is the best time to start prepping for the spring and summer golf seasons. This is the time to improve your strength, flexibility, endurance and mechanics so you can come out swinging healthier and better this year. Golf is an extremely popular sport, however, performance training isn’t as common in amateur players.

We’re starting to see a change in the PGA Tour where younger, smaller guys are dominating the golf world. As Rory McIlroy has said, “the reason I play at such a high level and hopefully will continue to play at a high level for the next 10, 15 years is because of the work I did in the gym”.

The pros are working on and off the course with a team of people around them including their coaches, trainers and physical therapists. Start building a team around yourself to improve your performance and decrease your risk of injury.
