How to follow through with your New Year’s resolution to get into better shape

With the New Year in motion, it is important to get past the New Year’s resolution slump.  Tim encourages 3 basic principles: 

  1. Hard work
  2. Consistency
  3. Focus

Hard Work:

Work smart or work hard? Let’s do both.  Let’s work smart then hard. Start with a plan and keep a journal to make yourself accountable. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just work hard and in return, make the hard work begin to work for you.

Consistency:

The more a bird flaps its wings the further, higher and longer the bird will fly. With a plan and hard work, consistency becomes second nature and daily goals become today’s gift to you. A great way to usher in consistency is seeking a professional. Today, practitioners are more affordable and available more now than ever. A practitioner can hold you accountable and be motivating for you to reach your goals. 

Focus:

This is your journey to take.  Within every journey you have a map.  See your current self or your current place on the map. It may not be the most desirable starting point and the journey will be tough.  In the end, the destination will be the reward of all your hard work with dedication and focus.  

In closing, Work Hard and Smart, Be Consistent, and Focus to believe in your destination.
