New Year, Clinic, Therapists and Goals

2018 brought a lot of “new” to Advanced Kinetics. Along with a new clinic in McLean, we also have two new therapists, new office staff and new equipment.

Traditional Physical Therapy: manual therapy, DNS exercise, and dry needling are the basis of our clinics however personal training and injury prevention programs also transpired at the new McLean Clinic. There is also a recovery program for anyone looking to recover from their injury, workout or just a stressful day. The AlterG Treadmill allows you to run or walk with less impact on your joints.

NormaTec boots help with circulation in the legs through the muscles and lymph fluids. The Infrared Sauna boosts your metabolism and immune system, improves full body circulation, promotes detox and weight loss. You can sign up for these recovery tools Now!

New to Advanced Kinetics in 2018, Courtney Yon is a huge Penguins and Steelers fan from Pittsburgh. She brings depth to concussion treatment, ACL post-op rehab, and running injuries. She offers dry needling along with manual treatments for patients.

Kait Donovan is our newest therapist. Her path to Physical Therapy began through rehabbing her own injuries as a competitive gymnast. She continues to investigate the mind-body process of healing and wants all her patients, from pediatrics through the lifespan to believe that healing is possible!

We added a lot of new in 2018 but will continue looking for new ways to support and treat you in 2019. For 2019 we want you to think about what’s new for you! Do your resolutions include Advanced Kinetics? Maybe you want to do something new like running a race or a triathlon. Maybe what’s new for you is taking steps to live pain-free. In 2019 maybe you want to try and take care of yourself through recovery. We can help with all of these new goals!

Keep reading our blogs as they will empower and inspire you to take care of yourself! Happy New Year!
